About

The approach of the workshop wasn't the design and construction of a building without thinking about the variables that identifies a specific territory, from the perspective of the contemporary city lab we got to set an audacious proposal linked to it's context and thinked for a specific reality.

 

Methodology 

 

1. With the data that the territory gave to the workshop (floor uses, heights, inhabitants, statistics, movility, nolli plan etc.) a systematic overimpose of information that provides urban phenomena related to consumerism that happens in usaquen, phenomena named after the theory and references research.

2. A synthesis plan emerges from the junction of these four phenomena that shows the origin of urban problems or qualities, then a concept is proposed, a pair of words that defines the territory, in the case of usaquen it´s concept is autopoietic grafts, ethimologicaly speaking, this terms shows the relation between the biological knowledge and species interaction in a determined ecosystem, grafts is a propagation way through the insertion of living parts, this process could derive in asimilation of the new componet or full reject, autopoiesis is a neologism that describes the self-organisation process of a biotic system, joining these two concepts, usaquen had been consolidating from the conjunction of heterogenous grafts in function of consumerism inserting itself in heritage labeled buildings also in new buildings and spaces.

 

3. From the concept, plus the urban phenomena, scenarios could be proposed, these are prospective futures without striking the utopy value, shows the development trend and glimpse development ways through an avant-garde proposal, like a hypothesis it could be checked by observation or consequencese's agreement.
